Horizontal Drill Rigs
D.J. Scheffler, Inc. uses specialized horizontal drill rigs to install elements
such as tiebacks, soil nails and hydraugers, to name a few. The application for
these smaller drill rigs is endless. For example, in 19 85 we engineered a tight-access
horizontal drill rig utilizing a CAT excavator which is still used on many of
our projects today. This is just one example of our commitment to finding new
ways to accommodate difficult projects.

capable of drilling shafts where other rigs cannot. These rigs have made previously
unbuildable lots buildable and allow drilling in areas that would otherwise have
